After more than 20 years, MMA Sabah is honoured to host the NATIONAL MMA Convention and Scientific Congress 2023 & the 63rd MMA Annual General Meeting

This is an annual event with the objectives of promoting academic exchange and cultivating friendship and camaraderie within the medical fraternity.

A two-day comprehensive convention has been organised to deliver an enriched scientific knowledge experience. Enjoy a wide range of topics which will be presented by experienced and accredited speakers. CPD points are guaranteed, and the convention would be an ideal final platform to secure these points.

Dear Colleagues,

I am looking forward to this year's National MMA Convention and Scientific Congress and 63rd MMA AGM, and I am sure you are as well since after more than 20 years, our annual major event will be held this time in the beautiful state of Sabah. While the committee is hard at work behind the scenes with preparations, I would like to take the occasion to encourage all members to sign up early for this not-to-be-missed opportunity.

Apart from being an opportune time to update yourselves at the conference and network with colleagues, it will also be an excellent opportunity for you and your family to take some time off to soak in all the beautiful sights and attractions that the state of Sabah has to offer. Dr Brandon and his team are working tirelessly to make this year's gathering one to remember, and I am confident it will be.

The National MMA Convention and Scientific Congress, and the 63rd MMA AGM, will be a monumental occasion for me as it marks the completion of my tenure as MMA President and the commencement of a new term for the new President and MMA Exco line-up. I am extremely honoured to have the privilege of serving in Malaysia's largest doctors' group, and I thank you all for your support.

We at MMA are always concerned about producing and safeguarding the best quality of doctors in Malaysia. With our already impressive history, we still provide excellent services that are irrefutably beneficial for our profession. As our expectations grow, MMA is an important instrument in protecting and improving the lives of the healthcare personnel.

It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome all members and delegates to this year’s National MMA Convention and Scientific Congress, as well as the 63rd MMA Annual General Meeting.

After more than twenty years, MMA Sabah will once again host MMA's most important and prestigious yearly event. On behalf of the Organising Committee, I wish to extend our deepest gratitude to the MMA Exco and all MMA members for entrusting us with this great privilege. Holding this distinguished event in Sabah is a powerful testament by MMA that we are a truly national organisation, representing doctors not only from the Klang Valley metropolis but also from the smallest districts of Sabah.

As we move forward in this post-COVID era, I am sure many members will be excited about the prospect of travelling again. I may be biased, but there is no better place to visit than Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Kota Kinabalu is thrilled to welcome you with its beautiful sceneries, exquisite food, fascinating cultures, friendly people, and much more.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Organising Committee for their tireless work in making this event a success. A big thank you also to MMA President, Dr Muruga Raj and the whole MMA Exco for their guidance. Not forgetting the MMA HQ staff who have been extremely helpful. Last but not least, a huge thank you to all MMA members for your support!
